Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is holding QTS and recent teaching experience in Year 5.  

The role 

Smart Teachers are recruiting for a Year 5 Class teacher to work in a three-form entry, good school, in Hammersmith and Fulham. The suitable candidate will be working with a great team of KS2 teachers, on a full time basis. Planning is already sorted; however, the successful class teacher may need to amend planning in addition to active assessment and record keeping.  The class has 22 pupils, with a large percentage of SEN pupils. The successful Year 5 Class Teacher will have recent experience working with children with special educational needs and be able to differentiate accordingly. The school is unique, the children are aware of their rights from the moment they start at the school meaning they are passionate learners who show enthusiasm and resilience. The children simply need a Year 5Class teacher who can match their energy and support them throughout their KS2 experience. The role will run until July 2022, however depending on the situation with the teacher this post will be covering, it could prolong into the new year.  This would be a fabulous opportunity for an experienced Year 5 Class teacher who is looking for an energetic school, two days per week, allowing time for other commitments.  


The school 

The school has been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and staff that have worked there through Smart Teachers always compliments the children for being so happy and full of life. Naturally there are some challenging behaviours, however by following the schools behaviour policy, these are always resolved quite easily. The school encourages Music and Dance and this is endorsed within their daily routine. The classrooms and corridors are colourful, organised and has a vintage feel creating authenticity. There are large outdoor grounds filled with flowers (planted by the children) and is actively used during lessons/playtimes/PE sessions and school events. There are many opportunities to progress within the school with the regular CPD courses, whereby the leadership wish to better each member of staff which will ultimately transfer onto the pupils’ education. 


Requirements 

To be considered for the Year 5 Class teacher, you must:

• Hold QTS with recent experience with KS2

• Experience working with SEN pupils

• Be available on a full time basis 

• Eligibility to work in the UK (must have a valid visa)
