Newington Primary is a very special learning community. We are a 2 form entry primary based in Hull and proud to serve the communities of Central and West Hull. Over the last three years, significant investment in our building and commitment from our talented staff team has meant that attainment has risen and we are a securely ‘good’ school (Ofsted - September 2018).
As we look to strengthen our teaching team we are looking to appoint highly motivated teachers to join our happy staff team. As a school we pride ourselves on our friendly atmosphere where we work together, support each other and share resources. We are a free flow Foundation Unit including a 50 place Foundation 2 and a 52 place nursery setting. We have a large outdoor environment including a woodland area which allows children to engage in inspiring learning opportunities.
Through tailored professional learning opportunities we will look to develop you throughout your teaching career. We work closely with our ‘Hull Primary Hub’ with opportunities to shadow and observe best practice with many examples of staff taking advantage of promotion across the Hub and the AET school network.

Newington Academy is an exciting, caring and fun place to be. We are extremely proud of our Victorian building that has now reached the grand old age of 143! Our numbers have grown dramatically in recent years and we now have 390 pupils on roll, ranging from 3 to 11 years. We are a two form intake, with a brand new modular building enabling us to increase our PAN to 60. We offer a huge range of curriculum enhancements and educational visits, extra curricular clubs and outdoor learning in our bespoke outdoor classroom within our ‘Newington Gardens’ outdoor area.
The area around the Academy is currently being regenerated so it is rapidly changing - we are very excited about these changes! Newington Academy is a thriving academy full of life and fantastic experiences that gives the Academy its unique atmosphere and place in the community.
We believe that each and every child should be inspired to find their remarkable. All learners experience an exceptional curriculum offer with excellent teaching and learning at its core. We pride ourselves on the relationships we build with our children and wider community and believe that our school is a truly exceptional place to learn.
