ABC Teachers are working on behalf of an ‘outstanding’ school located in Smethwick. This school is looking to recruit a Year 5 TA to work with the whole class, group work and occasionally 1.1 with low ability pupils. This class has great behaviour and strives to be the best within school, there are a couple of SEN pupils that are working slightly behind the year 5 national curriculum, hence the extra support needed. The role is due to start ASAP until the end of the academic year.
The ideal candidate will have experience working within Year 5 (KS2) and be comfortable running intervention groups and gathering resources. . You will need to be firm but fair and understand the pupil’s needs at all times. There is an area within the class where this pupil can have some 1.1 time away from the other children to help raise attainment.
At this school they value high standards of education as well as developing children’s sense of self and their responsibilities to the wider community. Our outcomes are great but they are always striving to achieve more for the benefit of their children and families.
Located in Smethwick, this makes it the ideal school for teaching assistants that live in Dudley, Sandwell and Birmingham. There are great public transport routes for those who don’t drive and is situated just of the M5 and M6.
