Role: Primary class intervention teacher
Age Group: Key Stage 2
Location: North Derby
Date: November 2018 –January 2018
About the role:
ABC Teachers have been asked by a school in the North Derby Area to find a KS2 Teacher for an intervention role for the Year 6 classes in the lead up to SATs.
The school itself has recently seen an SLT change, with the new staff’s focus being on improving the academic results of the school. The role is only really suited toward experienced teachers with a sound knowledge of the curriculum who are able to teach mixed ability pupils to a high standard. A successful candidate would be aiming to bring the general ability of the class in line with that of the pupils in the regular classes.
You will be working alongside 2 other year 6 teachers and co ordinating with both them and the Teaching assistants assigned to both of those classes. The school would want a teacher who has a proven record of both getting results and having good behaviour management, this is especially important as in some cases you will be working with children who show challenging behaviour.
If you would like to be considered then click to apply now! Or please contact Kiefer today by calling 01332 219051 or email your CV to firstname.lastname@example.org
To register with us, all candidates will be required to attend a face to face interview, hold an enhanced DBS check in Child Workforce on the Update Service and also gain references to cover the last 2 years. Please note that all teachers must hold valid QTS. For any Teaching Assistant roles you must hold an NVQ Level 2 or above, a relevant educational degree or a minimum of 3 months relevant experience within a UK school in the last 5 years.
Now is an extremely exciting time to join ABC teachers as we were acquired by TES over Easter 2016; they have chosen to work with 3 agencies throughout the country and ours was one of them. We are also recognised and awarded the Gold Standard by the REC which will give you peace of mind that you are registering with the right agency.
If you register with ABC Teachers, we are so confident about getting you work; we will run you a brand new DBS and once you have fully registered and worked 1 day with us, we will refund you the money. This will save you close to £50! (Subject to terms and conditions)
