Our client is a top Independent P-12 school ideally located on the Gold Coast. The school is seeking to appoint a qualified and highly motivated middle years teacher who specialises in Maths and Science. The ideal candidate will also be highly proficient and competent within the area of IT. The school seeks a candidate that is passionate about middle year’s education; in particular Year 7. This full-time position will commence in January, 2017 and is a 12-month contract. As this is an independent school, support and commitment to the extra-curricular, pastoral and spiritual life of the school is required.

About You:

In order to be considered for this role you will need to meet the following criteria;

• Be eligible to work in Australia (must have a valid visa)
• Must have a passion for middle years education
• Accustomed to the independent ethos: a collaborative team player and student-centred teacher
• Demonstrate support and commitment to the extra-curricular, pastoral and spiritual life of the school
• Be professionally competent to teach and possess requisite academic qualifications for teaching responsibilities
• Be a registered or eligible for registration with the Queensland College of Teachers
• Be familiar with the Australian National Curriculum and QCAA
• Have excellent interpersonal skills and highly proficient IT skills
