We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Year Team Leader to join our school who will have a primary role as a teacher of any subject with additional responsibilities as detailed below.  The successful candidate will teach up to GCSE, plus taking responsibility for a year group of students to monitor and track behaviour and welfare, and raising student achievement and progress.  This is an exciting opportunity for a colleague with aspirations for whole school pastoral leadership.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• To successfully lead and manage a team of tutors.

• To have responsibility for the welfare of students within the year group. 

• To identify areas where students need additional support and work with the appropriate people to implement.  

• To oversee the planning, execution and monitoring of intervention for students in the year group.

• To organise and attend meetings with students and parents. 

• To assist with the development and implementation of behaviour plans. 

• To develop, implement and promote the school rewards system. 

• To arrange and promote activities within the school.

• To prepare and lead assemblies.
