We are seeking to appoint a highly passionate Youth Minister to join our Forerunner Youth Ministry team and support the religious and faith mission of Worth School.

Formation.

We provide Forerunners a unique opportunity to grow in faith, drawing on the rich wisdom of the Monastic community at Worth and the Catholic leadership of the school. 

Mission.

The fruit of our community is an overflow of empowered mission, a proclamation of the Gospel, in the pursuit of transformation of young people's lives in schools.

Typical Forerunner responsibilities would include:

  • Delivering programmes of evangelisation to all Year groups
  • Discipling your designated house through.
  • Contributing to our culture of discipleship through prayer, pastoral presence and mentoring with both pupils and staff.
  • Raising up student leaders.

What we are looking for:

Essential:  

  • Practising Christian with sympathetic view towards the Catholic Faith and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church (as laid out in the Forerunner Commitment which is available on request)  
  • Experience working in youth ministry

Desirable but not essential:  

  • Formal qualification in either theology or youth work/ministry   
  • Experience of working in a secondary school environment   
  • Experience of running Alpha   
  • Experience of delivering Catholic RSE   
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office

Worth is an independent boarding and day school for boys and girls aged 11 to 18, set in the heart of the Sussex countryside between London and Brighton.
