A teaching union has gathered more than 15,000 signatures to protest against changes to the pensions of education staff. The petition by the ATL, which was started in December, opposes all the proposed changes to public-sector pensions, including increased contributions. Senior figures at the union, including general secretary Mary Bousted, presented the petition to chancellor George Osborne at Number 11 Downing Street earlier this week.
