Into administration

An independent school in Bournemouth has gone into administration, creating uncertainty for its 50 staff and 180 pupils. Lessons may not go ahead in September as administrators seek potential buyers for Wentworth College, where annual boarding fees are pound;17,175. It is likely that at least some of the staff may face redundancy. Trevor O’Sullivan, of administrators Grant Thornton, said the school had suffered in the “current economic climate”, with a fall in pupil numbers and limited availability of funding.
