Angry parents assault teacher

A group of angry parents burst into an exam room and assaulted a male teacher for trying to stop their children cheating in an exam, writes Martin Spice.

The incident occurred in Raemchhap district, 40 miles east of Kathmandu, Nepal,while pupils were taking an English exam to qualify to sit the School Leaving Certificate - crucial for getting a good job or university place.

The parents assaulted Chiranjibi Proudel before smashing up desks and benches.
