Assembly remarks spark call for investigation

A teachers’ union has called for an investigation into comments made by a head in an assembly that unmarried mothers and homosexuals were “flouting God’s rules”. Bill Beales is alleged to have told pupils at Cwmcarn high school in Cross Keys, South Wales: “When Christians voice concerns about divorce, unmarried mothers, homosexuality (and) genetic cloning, it is not those flouting God’s rules for right living that are placed on trial, but those who faithfully apply the word of God to their lives.”
