Tesco will sponsor a national 2km fun-run for children aged 7 to 11 this summer to encourage children to integrate exercise into their daily lives.
The Great School Run will be held throughout the UK, with Scotland and Northern Ireland hosting races on June 21 and England and Wales on July 12.
Participating schools will receive a free teachers’ pack, which will give a five-week programme of physical and classroom activities in the build-up to the races.
