Bald as top brass

The Qualifications and Curriculum Authority had a big hairy audacious idea once. It was going to become a “much more public and open organisation”. Dr Ken Boston and other top brass were going to answer direct questions from the public in special live Q and A sessions on the Internet. In the event, Ken was otherwise engaged for the first session on November 12. Questions were answered by the “quality audit division”. Perhaps they should have “quality audited” their own answers because they got their figures totally wrong twice. For their information, about 1,945 not 250 students got regrades in the A-level fiasco while 9,800, not 2,000 got unit marks changed.
