THE PRIME Minister has insisted that the Government will press ahead with plans to repeal Section 28, which bans the promotion of homosexuality in schools. Attempts to repeal the section and find a compromise have twice been deeated in the House of Lords.

In the Commons, Tony Blair said: “We remain committed to the repeal of it and we, in particular, remain absolutely set against the mischievous propaganda campaign run against this.”
