Bombs mark return to school

17th January 2003, 12:00am
The first week of the new term in Northern Ireland was marked by parcel bombs at three north Belfast primary schools. A bomb tied to the gate of Holy Cross school in Ardoyne at the start of the week was followed by two hoax bombs at nearby Wheatfield and Currie primary schools. In 2001, Holy Cross primary was at the centre of a three-month loyalist picket, braved by terrified pupils each morning.
