Box of delights

24th September 2004, 1:00am
A case of quality wines is this week on its way to the staff at NorthHeaton primary, Stockport. The school is due to close at the end of this academic year due to surplus places. But, says governor Priscilla Hills, the Monday after the decision was announced, the staff still achieved an excellent Ofsted. She says they all remain fantastically motivated and, instead of winding down, are working on a Brazilian exchange trip and a large musical event with the school the pupils will transfer to next September.

The box of 12 bottles, which usually cost pound;75, contains wines from some of the world’s best vineyards, and includes a French merlot and Spanish rioja. It is available through John Lewis: www.johnlewis.com. For a chance to win Waitrose goodies, just tell us why you and your colleagues deserve them.
