The Victoria and Albert Museum, Cromwell Road, London SW7 is running a course on maths and Islamic art for key stage 2 teachers and their families. It will explore the surprisingly simple shapes - squares, triangles, hexagons, octagons - at the heart of Islamic geometric patterns using tiles, ceramic containers, screens, carved wood and textiles on display in the galleries.
