After 37 years at the chalkface, I have retired.
When the holidays are not long enough to get all your schoolwork done and when every page of The TES makes you say “Oh, for God’s sake” - or worse - it’s time to go.
When I announced my retirement to my senior management team, aged 31 and 37, they said: “We feel the same.”
