Clarke makes snap judgment

Education Secretary Charles Clarke’s performance on the Radio 4‘s Today programme was interesting. In response to John Humphrys’ statement about a survey of graduate salaries, Mr Clarke replied: “I hardly think an 11-day snapshot in July is an adequate basis on which to judge graduate salary levels.”

Although, clearly, a four-day Office for Standards in Education snapshot (at whatever time they want) is enough to put a school into special measures.
