The Aegis Trust’s annual holocaust and genocide conference will be held at the Holocaust Centre, Nottinghamshire, June 26. Speakers include Dr James M Smith, AT’s chief executive officer, on “Genocide: the ultimate exclusion”, and Steve Sinnott, general secretary, National Union of Teachers, on human rights in education. Stephen Twigg, former education minister, will host a video conferencing session with survivors from Rwanda. Fee: pound;95 plus VAT.

“Talking diversity: exploring global citizenship” is the theme of a Teachers in Development Education conference at Thinktank Theatre, Birmingham, June 30.
