The Independent Procurement Advisory Service is running free seminars across England up to March 2004 for heads and ICT co-ordinators. One of the key speakers is Russell Prue, the “evangelist” for Curriculum Online at the Department for Education and Skills. IPAS is funded by the DfES and run by the British Educational Communications and Technology Agency.

“Learning from edutainment: education, entertainment and new media” is the theme of a free seminar about recent research on “edutainment” and home learning, organised by the Centre for the Study of Children, Youth and Media to be held at the Institute of Education, Russell Square, London WC1, June 30, 10am and 4pm. The seminar will focus on the uses of computer software, educational websites and other multimedia resources. Lunch is included.
