GREECE:A campaign for the more effective dissemination of the Greek language, education and culture among the six million second and third-generation Greeks who live abroad has been launched jointly by the education ministry and the ministry for foreign affairs.
The Cultural and Educational Institute has been set up to co-ordinate activities including producing educational materials, setting up student and teacher exchange programmes, establishing scholarships and awards to foreign philhellenes who have promoted the Greek language and culture.
