Children’s activities and workshops at various venues, Glasgow museums and art galleries, all summer The McLellan Galleries in Sauchiehall Street is offering free activities for three to 12-year-olds during July and August, from 11am-1pm, include storytelling, painting, clay workshops, learning about Victorian objects and costume, and making crowns, tiaras and body armour. The Museum of Transport is hosting a wide range of free events for children aged five to 12 in July and August. These include a drop-in Saturday art club for deaf children on July 23 and August 27 from 2-3.30pm.

Cinema-related Saturday morning workshops will also run there on July 23 and August 27 and will include creating shadow puppets, drama and scriptwriting plus a short film show in the Museum’s Kelvin cinema. Booking is essential, tel: 0141 287 2651.
