“Digital Curriculum”

The BBC’s attempt to portray itself as the hurt innocent in the controversy surrounding its pound;150 million proposal for a “Digital Curriculum” was undermined by a little public statement on its Press website on October 14. Despite stating it “understood that it should incur no expenditure or undertake any activities for the development of the service” until it received approval by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, the BBC had already spent over pound;5 million of licence-payers’ money developing the service. Now RM has started a judicial review action of the BBC proposal. The BBC has now discovered further work done costing around pound;60,000 and has apologised to the court through its counsel for previously having served misleading evidence. Quelle surprise...
