The smoking ban is clearly having an effect. We hear of one authority that has designated the school car park a public area and therefore a no-go for staff, forcing one teacher to drive round the local streets.
Another source reveals, surely improbably: “We make them hang out of the window holding their fag with a pair of chopsticks.” The reference to “them” is presumably to the teachers, not the pupils.
