Dusty or rusty?

I read with interest Steve Devrell’s article “Bad case of psychology claptrap syndrome” (TES, October 27). I disagree with his comment that those who arrive in school to observe and report on behaviour “disappear from the premises in a cloud of Ford Fiesta exhaust fumes”. I have found that these “experts” usually disappear in BMWs or 4x4s, and it is the teachers who leave in the Ford Fiestas. I can take the moral high ground here, being the head of a school but having one of the oldest cars in our car park.
