Scottish pupils want twice as many lessons on green issues as they currently receive, according to findings from Scottish Gas’s Generation Green schools programme.

They also show that pupils’ knowledge of green issues is more advanced than widely assumed: 37 per cent are familiar with green issues they are taught in class, and 22 per cent wish these were more advanced.

The survey of 1,000 schoolchildren aged seven to 14 was conducted by Dubit Research from October 15-November 9.
