Estyn follows up 42% of inspections

New figures reveal that 42 per cent of primary and secondary schools needed follow-up visits under Estyn’s new common inspection framework. Estyn has inspected 197 primaries and 31 secondaries since the framework’s launch in September. Education minister Leighton Andrews said it was “staggering” that 97 schools required some sort of follow-up.
