Most teachers do not believe exams are the best indicator of ability, says the Chartered Institute of Educational Assessors. Six out of 10 teachers said exam performance did not reflect the success pupils would enjoy in the workplace, the poll found. In a separate study, the institute found that more than three-quarters of adults do not believe their performance in exams reflected their true abilities.
