Simon Danes suggests those who like Christianity like faith schools and vice versa (TES, October 14). It is not as simple as that. Some Christian schools which profess to be comprehensive, wittingly or unwittingly, create selection by ability or social class, neither of which fits with my understanding of the Christian gospel.
