With the Sixth Form College Association calling on the government to provide a dedicated capital fund for sixth-form colleges, deputy chief executive James Kewin joins Kate Parker and Julia Belgutay for this week’s FE podcast.

They discuss the need for extra funding to support expansions, oversubscribed colleges and the increase in student numbers many institutions are already dealing with and are expecting in future.

Mr Kewin also shares his immediate concerns for sixth-form colleges, including the funding rate, exams in 2021 and the battle to stay open during lockdown.
