Celtic Connections runs until January 28, with the Big Finale in the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall featuring Iris DeMent, Laura Cantrell, Janis Ian and Suzzy Roche.
Over the next two weekends the concert hall will host workshops organised by traditional musician Caroline Hewat from Inverness. Among the instruments featured are piano accordion, banjo, tin whistle, bodhran and guitar. There will also be sessions in step dancing and singing. For details call 0141 353 8000.
