Fight Against Cuts in Education

The Fight Against Cuts in Education has designated next week “National Education Week” to try to highlight problems in schools. The week, supporters for which include governors and unions, will draw attention to the state of buildings, and will look at nursery education, class size, special needs, funding and education beyond 2000.

Sue Lister, national chair of FACE, said: “Every party in the run-up to the general election announced that education was a top priority for them. We intend to hold them to that commitment and expect them to deliver the money to provide the education our children deserve.”
