Future animals expo

2nd April 2010, 1:00am

Pupils from two Welsh schools have created imaginative and exotic designs for the pets and farm animals of the future as part of a special exhibition at the National Museum of Wales in Cardiff. Helped by archaeologists, a genetic scientist and an artist, the students from Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Plasmawr in Cardiff and St Alban’s RC comprehensive in Pontypool were encouraged to think how the animals might look in 1,000 years’ time as a result of climate change, selective breeding and genetic engineering.
