Getting to the bottom of it

THE performance put on by three professional actors to enable Falkirk teachers to hone their behavioural management skills at the authority’s “Framework for Intervention” conference did not lack realism.

Invited to question “Kirsty”, the third-year pupil who was giving maths teacher “Mr McIntyre” so much grief in the classroom, one teacher asked her what she thought of him. “He’s an arse,” opined a moody Kirsty.

Following the attempts of “Maggie Hodgeson”, the school’s behaviour co-ordinator, to persuade both antagonists to modify their behaviour, Kirsty was asked the question again. “He’s still an arse.”

Well, we did say it was realistic.
