FREE laptop computers and digital cameras are on their way to 1,400 newly appointed headteachers under the 2001 Laptops for New Heads scheme. Education Secretary Estelle Morris announced the pound;3 million programme last November. All headteachers appointed during 2001 were invited to apply for the free equipment, providing they had registered with the National College for School Leadership’s online community Talking Heads.
