From Texthelp Systems comes Browsealoud 3.1, the latest version of their text-to-speech software that reads website content out loud for those with literacy difficulties, dyslexia, mild visual impairments or who have English as a second language. The programme has already been adopted by local government authorities and customers include the Cabinet Office, Home Office, British Council, NHS, Civil Service and the Information Commission, British Dyslexia Association, Disability Rights Commission and BT. Other functions of the site include the ability to customise voices and pronunciation and read forms online.
