RESEARCH by the National Autistic Society in Scotland shows that more than 25,000 Scots unknowingly suffer autism.

Only one in 10 cases is diagnosed, said the society, which called for greater awareness of the condiion. Bob Noble, who chairs the society, said: “There are thousands of people going through life suffering needlessly. It is hell for them. They are bullied because there is this perception that they are odd.”
