A new qualification that links the further and higher education sectors with the security industry will be launched in London next week. The Bridging the Gap initiative, developed jointly by North Hertfordshire College and the British Security Industry Association, aims to provide 6,000 fully trained security staff in time for the Olympic Games in London in 2012. The launch is at Tower Hamlets College on Monday, 9am.
