THANK you Libby Purves (TES, December 13) for reminding me of BBC Schools Radio. Also, probably, for performing your production magic behind the glass window while I recorded links for the great many documentaries I produced in those heady days.
However, I wonder whether you don’t share my only regret: the gritty resentment of school teachers casually met at parties who would immediately fire all their guns at you for carrying more weight with their pupils than they? That I wish I could forget.
