Humanism is the focus of a new set of web-based resources. They include videos of humanists talking about their beliefs, many featuring Philip Pullman, author of the children’s trilogy His Dark Materials. There are also downloadable files containing briefings on ethical and philosophical issues.

Andrew Copson, the British Humanist Association’s director of education and public affairs, said: “We believe the study of humanist beliefs and values will not only be of educational value to children and young people from non-religious backgrounds, but also help to increase understanding of the non-religious among children and young people from religious backgrounds.”
