At the moment you can download extracts from the six novels on the Orange prize shortlist. The children’s offshoot, www.lovereading4kids.co.uk, has plans to offer extracts from books shortlisted for the Carnegie and Kate Greenaway Medals and the Branford Boase Award (shortlist announced in this column last week).
