Just the job

Pupils of exclusive Morrison’s Academy, Crieff, have been tucking in at their conveniently placed local shop, called “The Tuckie”, for 66 years.

“The Tuckie”, privately run on the town’s Hill Street, just across from the school, is famed for serving blazered pupils sweets from traditional glass jars and also does a mean roll and chips, or frites, as they might say at Morrison’s.

Now the institution’s up for sale and the shop would make an ideal investment for a home economics teacher on early retirement who would like to keep in touch with education and nutrition.
