Labour eye trouble

13th September 1996, 1:00am
Keith Geddes, COSLA president, jetted back from his holidays in the United States to launch the report, Taking Youth Work Seriously (page 4, last week), at the local authorities’ headquarters in the capital. Labour’s parliamentary candidate in the new Borders constituency was not best pleased to learn about his party’s referenda difficulties.

The front cover of the report features a picture of a cross-eyed and confused youngster, or as Geddes conjectured: “This must be a member of Labour’s Scottish executive.”
