Lapping it up

Parents will confirm that getting information from teenagers about the day in school is akin to getting blood from the proverbial. However, younger primary pupils, bless ‘em, tend to be less world weary and much more prone to excitable and detailed reports of classroom events.

Young Jonathan was hardly in the door before he started to enthuse about that day’s special lesson, which, apparently, had gone down a treat with primary 1.

“It was brill! We did lap dancing with Miss Lynch. She did it at the front and then we just copied her.”

Panic-stricken probing from an alarmed parent revealed that the cowboy hats and boots had been the accessories for what had actually been a line dancing session.

Another let off for the expressive arts co-ordinator.
