Last week our new head (it’s his first headship) had an all day meeting with the LEA Literacy Consultant, then another day with the Numeracy Consultant and finally a half day with the School Improvement Officer.
The time was spent trawling through test results, setting more impossible targets and producing a thirty page school development plan that was full of incomprehensible management speak... and they wonder why it’s so hard to find headteachers?
