Inbsp;was surprised to find no mention in the TES of the large numbers of school students who were present at the celebration of England’s World Cup victory in central London on December 8. Some were there as school groups, others were not.
Either way I did not notice headteachers popping up to condemn them for bunking off school, or, alternatively to praise the educational validity of the organised visits. Something of a contrast to the reaction to students who attended anti-war protests earlier in the year I would suggest.
