Mathematics in Education and Industry (MEI), an independent curriculum development body and charity that supports maths education, has shared a number of resources to encourage greater use of ICT in the AAS level maths classroom.

What is it?

Computer-based practical activities using the dynamic software programs Autograph, Geogebra and TI-Nspire.

File the dull exercises of the traditional textbook in the archives, where they belong - these resources create a challenging and interactive environment where students can investigate, make predictions and analyse results as they develop their knowledge of geometry, differentiation and trigonometry.

How can it be used?

Each resource includes a PDF file with full instructions and tricky challenges to keep even the most gifted mathematicians busy. After students work on the tasks, the software can be used to consolidate learning as a plenary on the interactive whiteboard or projector.
