Migrant pressure

The Government’s immigration minister Liam Byrne has warned that large-scale immigration is putting pressure on schools and is making it harder to improve standards. Mr Byrne, writing in a pamphlet produced by the Policy Network, a centre-left think tank, said a small number of schools had struggled to cope.
