The Government has unveiled new guidance for headteachers outlining the advantages of recruiting school nurses.
Ministers want at least one full-time nurse to work with every cluster of primaries and their linked secondary by 2010. As well as Looking for a School Nurse? it has also issued an updated resource pack to show nurses how they can promote good health.
